Father Teds is on the Lixouri side of the island providing unbelievable views in an extraordinary location. It is a small one bedroom villa with everything we and most need for a really great private and peaceful holiday. The villa is an ideal base to tour the island, for relaxing, walking, cycling, reading, painting, bird watching or simply to taking in the view. 

This area has history going back to the Mycenaeans, has an ancient water source providing some of the best water on the island, as well as a 'hidden' church.

Then there is the island of Zakynthos across the water and visible in the distance. Tavernas just up or down the road. Lixouri and Argostoli easily reached. Car essential for the best holiday. Air conditioning and shaded areas. Private parking. 4000 sq. metres of land.

We’ve pretty much travelled, indeed cycled the island including cycling from here via ferry to the top of Mount Ainos which we did just before the closed it due to fire risk. In fact we also took the bikes with us to neighbouring islands. We loved 2 days in Ithaca and less so one day in Zante (we could see the fires there from Father Teds and there is a lot of damage in the North West). Skala wasn’t as bad as I was expecting and I still think the top bakery there is the best we’ve come across. The only place we ran from was Antisamos. When we retire to a yacht, Fiscardo, Ag Efemia, Vathy and Agostoli will be on our list of places to visit?

Also of note is that our working arrangements worked well. We are both sat at the round table with laptops and mobiles etc and all has worked well. So I can definitely give the thumbs up on that to other potential guests.

We have erected a system for easily installing a shade sail. The villa also provides shade in the heat of the day. The grounds terraced with numerous olive trees but are not a formal garden as they extend to around 4000 sq. metres.
Petani Beach is a very short drive away and is popular without being crowded. The sunset there is pretty special. It has two beach side tavernas.
